Blade & Bark Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Blade & Bark is designed to operate primarily on your device.

We do not require accounts, and we do not sell or share your personal data.

2. Data Storage

All job data created in Blade & Bark is stored locally on your device, including:

• Client names and addresses
• Job details and notes
• Photos and image markups
• Signatures
• Generated reports and evidence bundles

We do not store this data on external servers.

3. Data Transmission

Blade & Bark does not automatically send user data off your device.

However, data may leave your device in the following cases:

a. User-Initiated Sharing

When you choose to export or share reports, evidence bundles, backups, or route information, the selected data is shared using the iOS share system.

b. Apple Services (Geocoding and Maps)

If you use features such as route planning, address geocoding, or opening a job in Apple Maps, address or location-related data may be sent to Apple services to provide those features.

4. Permissions

Blade & Bark requests the following permissions:

Camera

Used to capture before-and-after job photos for documentation.

Photo Library

Used to import photos for jobs and select a business logo for reports.

Location (Optional)

Used to attach optional GPS coordinates to job photos and to support route planning and map features.

Location access is optional and not required to use the app.

5. No Tracking or Analytics

Blade & Bark does not:

• track users across apps or websites
• use analytics services
• use advertising SDKs
• collect usage data for marketing

6. No User Accounts

Blade & Bark does not require or support user accounts.

We do not link your data to an identity outside your device.

7. Data Ownership and Control

You fully control your data.

You can:

• edit or delete jobs at any time
• remove photos, signatures, and reports
• delete backups and exports
• remove all app data by uninstalling the app

8. Data Retention

Data remains on your device until you:

• delete it manually
• overwrite it through restore operations
• export/share it
• remove the app

Any exported or shared files may persist wherever you save or send them.

9. Security

Blade & Bark stores data within your device’s secure app sandbox.

We do not transmit or store your data on external servers.
